Summary
Fawz is an Islamic companion app (mobile and desktop) for Quran reading, prayer times, adhkar, hadith, and related educational features. We do not sell your personal information. Fawz does not require an account to use core features.
Information we process
- Location (optional): When you grant permission, we use your location to compute prayer times, Qibla direction, and nearby mosque search on the map. Location is used for app functionality, not for advertising.
- Microphone and speech (optional, mobile): Used only in recitation practice to compare your recitation to Quranic text. Processing is intended to stay on your device where the platform allows.
- Notifications: Local schedules for adhan, prayer, and adhkar reminders. On mobile, optional push notifications may use Firebase Cloud Messaging (device token). On desktop, reminders use your operating system’s native notifications only (no FCM).
- Profile photo (optional): If you choose a photo, it is stored on your device.
- Diagnostics and usage: On mobile, crash and performance data may be sent to Sentry and Firebase Crashlytics; product analytics may be collected via Firebase Analytics. Desktop builds do not include the same mobile Firebase/Sentry SDKs unless stated in a future release.
- Network: The app loads religious content from documented public APIs and services (for example Aladhan, mp3quran.net, IslamHouse, hadith databases) and may open allow-listed web pages for library and scholar content inside a restricted browser.
- Downloads and caches: Optional offline Quran audio, documents, and model files are stored on your device. You can review and clear storage in app settings.
What we do not do
- No user accounts or social graph in Fawz.
- No AI-generated fatwas or unrestricted web search for religious rulings.
- No sale of personal data to data brokers.
- No in-app advertising network in the current product.
Third-party services
Depending on platform and features, data may be processed by Google (Firebase, Maps, YouTube Data API where enabled), Sentry, Expo (over-the-air updates on mobile), and the content providers you access in the app. Their privacy policies apply to data they process on our behalf or as independent controllers.
Children
Fawz is a general-audience religious app. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 beyond what the operating system provides for app functionality.
Retention
Preferences and downloads remain on your device until you uninstall the app, clear app data, or use in-app storage tools. Server-side logs held by our processors are retained according to their policies.

Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of Fawz after changes means you accept the updated policy.

المعلومات التي نعالجها
- الموقع (اختياري): لحساب أوقات الصلاة واتجاه القبلة والبحث عن المساجد على الخريطة عند منح الإذن.
- الميكروفون والكلام (اختياري، الجوال): لممارسة التلاوة ومقارنتها مع نص القرآن.
- الإشعارات: تذكيرات محلية؛ وعلى الجوال إشعارات دفع اختيارية عبر Firebase. على سطح المكتب إشعارات النظام فقط.
- صورة الملف الشخصي (اختياري): تُخزَّن على جهازك.
- التشخيص والاستخدام: على الجوال قد تُرسَل بيانات الأعطال إلى Sentry و Crashlytics وتحليلات Firebase.
- الشبكة: تحميل محتوى من APIs ومصادر موثقة وصفحات مسموحة للمكتبة والعلماء.
ما لا نفعله
- لا حسابات مستخدم ولا شبكة اجتماعية داخل فوز.
- لا فتاوى مولّدة بالذكاء الاصطناعي.
- لا بيع لبياناتك لوسطاء البيانات.
